Ron Freeman started Lost Orchards before he ever knew he started the band. In 2000 Ron began making music with multi-instrumentalist Chris Vogt in Erie, PA. They started bands and when those bands broke up they started more bands. In 2007 Ron and Chris started The Revelators in Columbus, OH.
In 2009 Ron met Savannah at an open mic and convinced her to sing with them. Two years later Ron and Savannah married. When the Revelators broke up they decided to not form a new band. Instead they named their new trio Lost Orchards and declared that all former bands were just early incarnations of Lost Orchards.
Together Ron, Savannah, and Chris layer harmonies on intricate arrangements of thoughtful songs about strange subjects. Mining forgotten history for material, Ron writes songs with bizarre premises that come to beautiful and unlikely conclusions.
